Position Overview
Logistics Coordinator is a key role in our logistics department, responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics processes, including order processing, inventory management, and delivery coordination. This position requires a combination of strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of logistics operations.
Job Responsibilities
1. Order Processing and Customer Communication
- Accurately process incoming orders, ensuring all customer requirements are met.
- Communicate with customers to provide updates on order status and resolve any issues promptly.
- Prepare detailed order confirmations and maintain accurate records.
2. Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels across all warehouses to prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Generate inventory reports and analyze data to identify trends and optimize stock levels.
- Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
3. Coordination with Third-Party Logistics Providers
- Work closely with external logistics providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Monitor shipping status and communicate with clients when there are delays or issues.
- Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and handle any customs-related tasks.
4. Report Preparation and Analysis
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports to assess operational performance.
- Analyze logistics performance metrics, such as delivery times and cost efficiency, to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
5. Process Optimization
- Identify inefficiencies in the logistics process and propose process improvements.
- Streamline workflows to enhance overall efficiency and reduce operational costs.
- Implement automation tools or systems where applicable to improve productivity.
Key Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Basic understanding of logistics processes and terminology.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
